Last 7 November 2014, the HAIYAN DISASTER GOVERNANCE INITIATIVE ("Haiyan Initiave"), held its first major event which was a thanksgiving concert entitled "Handumanan", the after waray-waray word for "tribute." to commemorate the first year since the Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda devastated parts of the Philippines. Pursutant to one of its fundamental objectives, which to promote good will and unity in the efforts relative to Yolanda. -  the Haiyan Initiave organized a major involved that involved 23 performers composed of 19 of the country's top bands, 3 pro-environment performing groups, and 1 british performer as to express our country's thankfulness to all the people in the world that extended some form of assistance to our countrymen who fell victim to Yolanda.
